Celebrating the winners of 2018 APTUK Katherine Miles Poster Competition
This year's Association of Pharmacy Technicians (APTUK) annual conference took place in Glasgow, Scotland and by all accounts turned out to be another rousing success. We are delighted to have again sponsored the APTUK Katherine Miles poster competition, which continues to see a growing number of quality poster submissions, showcasing and sharing quality research, innovative ideas and new methodologies all of which support improvements in best practice within the Pharmacy profession.
This is years 1st prize was won by Vimala Gajendra and Nilam Kalyan from the Community Independence Service at Central and North West London Foundation Trust, for their poster on "Role of Integrated Care Pharmacy Technician in Community Independence Service-Rapid Response Team". Their win secures them a well-deserved cash prize of £250, a nice certificate and their names on the board of poster winners.
Also a big congratulations to the runners up, Linda Robinson, Grainne Reed and Majella Warnock from Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) for their poster on "Does Expanding the Role of the Critical Care Pharmacy Technician Impact on Patient Care?". followed by Jayne Black, Linda Robinson and Sheila McCann, again from Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) for their poster on the "Development of Pharmacy Technician Pocket Medicines Reference Cards (PMRCs)". Both our runners up also received cash prizes and certificates, presented to them by our very own Helapet representative Robert Collins:
